Columbia GSAPP digital publishing platform

2014-2016

Digital Strategy and Editorial implementation of a hybrid output digital publishing platform for the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation (GSAPP) at Columbia University.

Reader, Columbia Books on Architecture and the City’s new digital publishing platform, explores the virtualization of book content, wholly synthetic and not beholden to the physical constraints of ink on paper. Publications (some also available in print, some not) can be read on the web and downloaded as ePubs, as well as purchased as printed matter where available.

Digital editions are authored in the web-based Content Management Authoring System Economy and can automatically generate both HTML and ePUB output versions – all with user selectable ‘themes’ in the spirit of each publication series.
